Bereavement, grief, or a sense of loss can come in all areas of life; the death of a loved one, the breakdown of a relationship, redundancy or our own illnesses. Helping you to understand why you feel the way you do, while assisting you in finding a way through your grief, is my role here.
Though the five stages of grief outline the various states we may go through, rarely are we provided with the understanding that we can go through these states many times during the bereavement process. If that roller-coaster feeling begins to engulf your ability to be able to see life after your loss, a helping hand to guide you may be all that makes the difference.
Whether the loss came about suddenly or expectedly, the period is all too often underestimated. Knowing this, being helped to see a less painful future, and given the tools to allow you to feel the emotions you need to, without the sense of judgement or criticism will allow you to move forwards, when perhaps you see no future at all right now.
